Bobby Thomason, Alpha Beta
Bobby Fletcher Thomason was born on April 11, 1987 and passed away on September 19, 2008 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital after suffering severe brain trauma. A candle light vigil, in celebration of Thomason's life, was held at Radford University on Tuesday, September 23 and sponsored by his Brothers. The record turnout spoke wonders for the way Thomason lived, touching the lives of so many in the Radford community, no matter their Greek affiliation. Thomason was a junior at RU, and a member of the Alpha Beta Associate Member Class initiated in the spring of 2007. He was a member of the RU Army ROTC program, as well as the Army National Guard. He also served as the sports chair for the chapter in the spring of 2008. Thomason was a native of Woodbridge, VA and a graduate of Thomas Dale High School in Chesterfield, VA. Brothers Jay Boland, Dan Wilson, Justin Fusco, Travis Ponton, Jimmy Newton, and Jacer Perez served as the Paul Bearers for the ceremony, that was heavily attended by students, RU officials, brothers, and Delta Chi Alumni. Bobby's fun-loving, laid back character will never be forgotten.
